Blueberry Porridge

Start your morning with a bowl of creamy, antioxidant-rich goodness! This blueberry porridge combines wholesome oats and plant-based milk with the added nutritional boost of chia seeds and shelled hemp seeds. Topped with juicy blueberries and a dollop of almond butter (optional), it’s a perfect balance of fibre, healthy fats, and flavour. Quick to make and bursting with nutrients, it’s the ideal way to kickstart your day!

Ingredients

  • 45g porridge oats

  • 100ml milk

  • 1 tablespoon shelled hemp seeds

  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds

  • 50g blueberries (or any other berry)

  • 1 tablespoon almond butter (optional)

Preparation

  • Place the porridge oats, milk, hemp seeds and chia seeds into a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring frequently, for 4–5 minutes until the milk has absorbed and the porridge is creamy and piping hot. Stir through the blueberries and cook for 1 further minute, until the berries turn a darker blue and begin to release their juices.

  • Serve in a bowl, topped with a drizzle of almond butter and enjoy immediately.
