Served on a slice of good-quality sourdough, ripe avocado chunks are lightly mashed with a squeeze of zesty lime and seasoned with salt and black pepper. Topped with crunchy sunflower seeds and a sprinkle of nutritional yeast flakes (optional) for a savoury twist, it’s simple, satisfying, and packed with healthy fats and flavour. Ingredients
1 slice of good-quality sourdough bread
1 small and ripe avocado cut into bite-size pieces
squeeze of lime
Sunflower seeds
Good quality salt and black pepper
Sprinkle of nutritional yeast flakes (optional)
Preparation
Toast the bread. Meanwhile, mash the avocado with the lime juice. Then pile it onto the toast, sprinkling the sunflower seeds and plus a good crack of black pepper, flaky sea salt and a few chilli flakes, if desired.
